MicroFlow provides a non-contacting, velocity measurement solution for open channels. Use MicroFlow as a stand-alone device for simple velocity measurement, or pair with a dB Ultrasonic Transducer for a complete area-velocity measurement system. MicroFlow provides a cost-effective alternative for open channel flow measurement where the hydraulics of a site does not allow for a PMD (Primary Measuring Device) to be installed or where there is no room for a restriction of the channel.

Contacting flow measurement sensors require the system to be shut down for a period of time to allow for installation, the MicroFlow non-contacting velocity measurement solution is simply mounted at 45 degrees above the channel, with no need to interrupt operations.

For open channels less than 1.5 m (4.9 ft) wide, MicroFlow will operate as a stand-alone sensor. For open channels that are more than 1.5 m (4.9 ft) wide, MicroFlow can be combined with a dBMACH3 and FlowCERT control system. Alternatively where there is more than one MicroFlow unit required, the velocity measurement sensor can be combined with the dBMACH3 and Ultimate Controller.
