The Electrically Power Governor (EPG) is designed for precise isochronous speed control of diesel engines.  The electric governor is especially suited for prime movers without a mechanical drive or hydraulic oil supply for the governor and which have low-mass, low friction fuel linkages.

EPG’s are part of a complete control system consisting of three-components including:

• Electronic speed control
• Electric Actuator (ordered separately, see options below for 24 V applications)
• Magnetic pickup (ordered separately)

Actuators model options have the following work outputs:

• Model 524 Full governor travel of 30°, 1.0 J (0.75 ft-lb) (Item: 8256-021)
• Model 724 Full governor travel of 35°, 2.3 J (1.7 ft-lb) (Item: 8256-016)
• All actuator output shafts are 0.375"-36 SAE serrated on each end
